Meredith Publishing, specifically at Travel & Leisure, Food & Wine, Real Simple and Better Homes and Gardens is hosting a Networking event with their editors next month to meet their Feb 2021 editorial deadline, and would like to get as many many stories in that issue and more 2021 issues as possible from BIPOC writers. Meredith has also set up an internal talent database which will be shared across their 40+ brands to increase representation in their hiring and content. FOOD & WINE CONSULTANT

Opportunity for a detail-minded copy editor who we could bring in as a freelance consultant/sensitivity reader to help assess our style guides for Food & Wine—both our existing overall copy guidelines, but also the new Best Practices documents for more inclusive/anti-racist/non-white-centered recipe titles and headnotes. Ideally this would be an experienced copy editor who is very tuned into questions about diversity, equality, and inclusivity while also understanding all of the ins and outs of house style guides.
